With the Chamber of Commerce and the EDC being equally important in their roles to recruit and retain small businesses, what will you do to insure the flow and sharing of community information between these two entities?

New retail develeopments and improvements in our existing areas of commerce will increase sales tax revenues for the city dramatically, as well as provide a boost to tourism and living standards.  This will then allow the city to reduce our property tax rates while improving city services at the same time.  Do you agree with this statement, and what incentives do you believe need to be offered to new and existing businesses to make it happen?

Should the city hire a federal lobbyist to persue grants and funding for our city as well as keep the city abreast on new incentives offered by the federal government in these upcoming years of ecomomic rebuilding?
